Arrow Precision split crank application one-piece
rods are second to none. We are pleased to have rods in Speedway
Grand Prix machines, Grass Track and World Karting, winning at the
highest levels week in week out! Our design team will help you improve
on an existing rod or come up with alternative solutions that will
improve performance.
Our engineers aim to lighten the steel rod but retain it's strength.
There are two types of non-split rod available, each requiring different
materials and heat treatment processes. If your design has liners
in the big end and a bronze floating small end, our EN24 nickel
chrome forgings will be used. For an unlined version, carburised
steel is required and the con rod is heat treated only in necessary
areas to 62 rockwell C. This design has greater benefits; it’s
as strong as a lined rod but 20% lighter.
With our flexible production planning we are able to manufacture
variable quantities, from a one-off experimental design to hundreds
of identical rods, e.g. for use in sealed gokart race engines. As
